I really enjoy the more real looking plant life in this. Makes for an interesting feature if you ask me than the typical game grass and plants.

I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3
Jack is one of my favorites do there is a little bit of biased going on in my brain. I think you got creative with him although I prefer the simplified version of his face (that's my biased ness coming to a head) I do like your rendition of his face. Makes him look a little more spooky which is why I also like you piece. Normally I would have hated on a piece that didn't stay true. To his simplified face, but for you jazza and your art skills I can make an exception lolol. I do like that you put a different skull in his hand other than his own. And the fact that you made that one look more life like is pretty cool. I also like that you stayed true to the scenery of the movie and that you decided to not make the background so pronounced that he would have faded. You made him the focal piece. The rim lighting looks fantastic on jack.
I really like this! Very cool concept of showing them both!
Thanks... :D
I love this! Sweet idea!

Traditionally done with comic markers is a nice touch. How do you get it so that the markers done look streaky though? Is that just the way copies are? I used prismacolor markers and when I color large areas they seem to streak on me which I think ends up ruining my piece. Any advice?
It's hard and needs a lot of practice I guess.... At first my copic colors looked 'streaky' as well, but it depends on a few things:
-The paper you are using. Thicker paper with smooth surfaces tend to look less streaky, but you got to watch out, they might bleed more than thinner paper.
-always work while the 'color is still wet'. Don't know about Prisma-Colors, but copics are rather wet, there are also the blenders... so if I need to color a larger area, I use the blender over the colors again and again to ensure the surface remains moist while I work... that helps against the streaky look as well.
Maybe this helps you some: http://deamond89.deviantart.com/art/Copic-Tutorial-Making-of-Sea-Serpent-303470690
